Meet the team

Sarah is Managing Director at Newstead Insurance Brokers and joined the company in 2011 but has been working in the commercial insurance broking industry since 1992. Dealing with all classes of Commercial Insurances from Motor Trade, Haulage Contractors to Property Investors and their portfolio’s. Sarah likes to source solutions for her clients especially those square pegs that don’t quite fit a round hole.

When not in the office Sarah is a keen runner and if not out on the roads you will find her in the gym.

Paul is the current Director and was the founder of Newstead in November 1987. Day to day Paul handles all classes of general commercial insurance for Newstead clients ranging from small shops or offices to major corporate concerns. In his spare time Paul can normally be found in the gym, riding his motorcycle, practicing yoga or, for his sins, watching Stoke City FC. The latter not being a particularly pleasant experience at the time of writing.

Tom joined Newstead Insurance Brokers in 2005 and has a wealth of experience in dealing with all aspects of commercial insurance including Business Combined, Public & Products Liability, Employers' Liability, Professional Indemnity, Property Owners, Motor Fleet, Motor Trade, Manufacturing, Technology, Marine, Crime, Cyber Liability, Management Liabilities, Travel and Personal Accident.

Kristie joined Newstead in 2016 and has over 20 years experience of working in the Insurance Industry. Prior to joining Newstead Kristie spend a number of years working for a major Insurer, she has experience in dealing with a wide range of Insurance, her strengths include Property Owners, Employers/Public Liability, Engineering to name a few

When not in the office Kristie can be found organising activities & events for her Brownie, Guide & Ranger units or on the rugby side-lines supporting her son play.

My journey in the Insurance sector started 20 years ago when I started working at NIG as an FNOL claims handler, throughout the 20 years I have worked for Churchill, RBS and DLG taking on a variety of rolls from recovery handler to credit hire advisor.

18 months ago I took on the claims manager roll for Newstead insurance brokers and love it. Building relationships with all our clients and getting to know them on a personal and professional level makes helping them with their claims and queries even more satisfying.

When I’m not in the office I enjoy spending time with my two young kids or hitting the trails on my mountain bike.
